Do I get a tax refund for the social security and medicare taxes that I paid? | Social Security Tax Refund
Question by AC: Do I get a tax refund for the social security and medicare taxes that I compensated?
As a pupil, I only have a component time task. So I was looking at my W-two, and I discovered that my employer didn’t take any revenue tax from my earnings. But my employers did get the common prices for social security taxes, medicare taxes, and state taxes. I was asking yourself, need to I file a tax return? Would I get the money back again from the social security and medicare taxes? Or is the return only for revenue tax?

No you will not get any refund for SS or medicare.
You don’t get your social security or medicare funds back until you reach retirement age. However, you could well get back the money that was withheld for state tax. Fill out a state tax return and see.
