Q&A: I had to mail my Tax returns, when can I expect my refund to be direct deposited? | Efile Tax Refund Schedule
Question by ariasthree: I had to mail my Tax returns, when can I expect my refund to be direct deposited?
I used Turbo Tax and my Federal tax return was rejected 2x for incorrect AGI, by the time I obtained through to the IRS and inputed right info, TT informed me I could not efile any more, I had to print and mail the returns. I discovered the efile refund routine, but is there a time guideline for these folks who mailed their returns?

Typically paper returns are processed in 4-six weeks. Have you checked out the Where’s My Refund website on the IRS internet site?

It should take at least 4 to 6 weeks for them to process the tax return. After that point they will start the direct deposit process.
It will take the same 4 to 6 weeks before the IRS website will give you any updates, but here is the link you would need to use to see how your return is going.
