You were told wrong, sorry, but you can quit waiting for it. The stimulus payment of UP TO $ 600 for an individual was LAST year. If you didn’t get it last year, but qualify under those same rules but based on your 2008 return filed this year, you’d get whatever amount you qualified for added to your refund.
